Lol, I'm back and I have to agree with u_queen. Even I didn't think this thread was going to last this long . The reason why I didn't look back at it so much was because I'm working on my own big editing project for another show (non-anime), but I would still like this project to become a reality. Since I'm so busy I think that I'll leave both Hagaren Viper & Kazemon15 in charge of this project. Even though I won't have a hand in editing it I still want to supervise it though by acting as a beta-tester for each part that an editor works on, and seeing if I like it and if it fits up to my artistic vision of this project or not.

Here are the original, rough, blueprints that I had for this project...
Since the 10th anniversary of the American dub to Pokemon is coming up on September 8th, 2008 I figure that on this multi-editor Pokemon AMV project we could use tracks from the American Pokemon CD's: 2.B.A. Master & Totally Pokemon. I figure that we could use the most popular songs from both CD's that were featured in Pikachu's Jukebox/Pokemon Karaokemon from the end of seasons 1-3. The project would start off like this...
From the Pokemon 2.B.A. Master CD we would (obviously) start off the project with an amv set to the extended version of the theme song, then after that the 2nd amv would be set to the extended version of the Pokerap, then from there on the amv's after that that would follow it would be set to these songs from the 1st CD in this order:
- 2.B.A. Master (for the 3rd amv)
- What Kind Of Pokemon Are You? (for the 4th amv)
- Together Forever (for the 5th amv)
- Viridian City (6th amv)
- Double Trouble (Team Rocket) (7th amv)
- My Best Friends (8th amv)
- Pokemon (Dance Mix) (9th amv)
The reason why I specifically want it in this order is because I want each song after the 1st two songs used to follow a consecutive story pattern of Ash's journey from the very beginning of the show. For example the song for the 3rd amv is 2.B.A. Master. The editor in charge of that amv would use the very first scenes from the very first episode of Pokemon where Ash reveals to the audience his dream & desire to be a Pokemon Master as an introductory scene to the amv in order to properly start off the amv, and then continue on from there. The song for the 4th amv is What Kind Of Pokemon Are You?. Keeping with the pattern the editor in charge of that amv would use the scene right after Ash reveals to the audience his dream; where his mom tells him to go to bed and Ash dreams of what his first pokemon would be like. This dream sequence of Ash wondering what his starters would be like will be the first, introduction scene to start off that amv, and then the editor would continue on from there. The 5th one is Together Forever, and the introduction scene for that amv would be the one where Ash gets Pikachu the next day (after the previous scene of him dreaming about his starters). In that amv the editor would (obviously) use scenes of Ash & Pikachu's moments throughout the entire dub, but at the end of this amv I specifically want the conclusion scene to be the one at the end of the 1st episode where Ash and Pikachu embrace each other and Ash says "Well Pikachu, we beat'em." For the consecutive, story pattern, introduction scene in the 6th amv with the song Viridian City set to it the editor in charge of that amv could either use the scene at the end of the 1st episode where Ash & Pikachu see Ho-oh before they're off to Viridian City or use the beginning scene to the 2nd episode where they're on the road to Viridian City. Since Ash meets Team Rocket for the very first time in the 2nd episode that would be the introduction scene for the 7th amv set to the song Double Trouble (Team Rocket). The introduction scene for the 8th amv would be the scene where Brock and Ash first become friends right after Ash wins his first badge. I know that that's not totally consecutive story-wise since Ash does meet Misty first, but I figure that using the scene where Ash meets Brock first would be better since Brock has lasted much longer than Misty did whenever the show gives Ash new traveling buddies. And since Ash is STILL traveling with Brock to this day in the new Pokemon DP: Battle Dimension dub I figure they must be best friends by now . The scene where Ash meets Misty would be used right after the Brock one in the introduction scene. After that the editor in charge of that amv has a choice of either using the scenes where Ash meets all of his traveling buddies in the introduction scene or just simply going on forth with the amv after the Misty scene. I have no idea as of the moment what would make a good introduction scene for the 9th amv set to the Pokemon (Dance Mix)? After the Pokemon (Dance Mix) amv is done that would officially be the end of the first half of this multi-editor AMV project (since that's all of the popular songs used from the CD in the dub's endings).
For the second half of this amv I want the songs from the 2nd CD to be used in this order:
- Two Perfect Girls (for the 10th amv)
- The Song of Jigglypuff (for the 11th amv)
- Never Too Far From Home (for the 12th amv)
- Pokemon Johto (13th amv)
- All We Wanna Do (14th amv)
- You And Me And Pokemon (15th amv)
- Pikachu (I Choose You) (16th amv)
- Everything Changes (17th amv)
- Pokerap GS (18th amv)
- Pokemon 1st theme song again (19th/final amv)
The introductory scene for the Brock-centric amv set to Two Perfect Girls would (obviously) use the scene in the very first episode in the dub where we discover that Brock gets all gaga & hormonal over Officer Jenny & Nurse Joy (which I'm pretty sure first started in the episode "The Water Flowers of Cerulean City" when he meets Officer Jenny for the first time), then from there on after the introductory scene the amv would just feature scenes of Brock lusting after the two girls set to the song. The song of Jigglypuff follows the same consecutive introductory pattern for that amv. For the amv set to the song Never Too Far From Home my favorite season/league in the dub: the Orange League automatically came to mind. I kinda want that one to start off with the scene where Ash & Misty get lost in the Orange Islands after Team Rocket destroys their blimp. The problem with doing this amv unfortunately is that after Ash & Misty land in the Orange Islands they run into their new traveling buddy Tracey, and also find a Pokemon Center on the island to contact Professor Oak & let them know that they're okay. Therefore they were never truly "lost/far from home", so I guess I'll just let the editor in charge of that amv decide what direction they want to go for that amv. Whatever they decide to do I DO however specifically want alot of scenes from the Orange League season featured in that one. The next amv Pokemon Johto will be the last amv with a consecutive, story-pattern, introduction scene from Ash's journey in the dub. The scene for that one will quite obviously open with the introduction of Ash & co. heading off to the Johto League, then after that the amv will feature all of the great moments that Ash, Misty, & Brock had while exploring the Johto region. The next 2 amv's: All We Wanna Do & You and Me and Pokemon are just simply fun, light-hearted amv's of all of the fun moments the gang had throughout the series. For those amv's I want the editors to go all out and use every fun moment from the dub series (up to Diamond & Pearl) including the Pikachu shorts from the movies as well. For the Pikachu (I Choose You) amv just simply feature all of Pikachu's greatest battle moments throughout the entire series. For the 17th amv using the song Everything Changes we're going to go back to using a song from the 1st CD that I purposely held over from the 1st half because I thought that a song like that would be more fitting for the end. For this amv I want all of the changes that Ash & co. go went through during the course of the series to be reflected in this amv. Moments such as: Ash's Caterpie's evolution, Ash & his traveling buddies Pokemon team constantly changing, to Ash's traveling buddies changing as well. Since I want this amv to end full circle I want the 2nd to last amv to use the Pokerap GS song, and simply make an amv featuring the Johto set of pokemon to that song. And finally for the final amv I want to use the extended version of the 1st season's theme song again, only for that amv I specifically want it to be all about all of Ash's greatest moments and accomplishments throughout the series such as: all of the badges that he's collected throughout the years, his heroic moments in the movies, and all of the pokemon region league battles that he's been in so far.
In order to do this properly and at least have this project done by the fall (since we can't realistically have it done by September 8th) I guess we could split up each individual amv by sets of 2. Every editor who wants to participate in this project could pick 2 individual amv's that they'd want to do. I also suppose that if this project is a guaranteed go, then we could still set the premiere date back to September 8th 2008 once we put it in the catalog even though we won't get it done by then.

Yay...wait, what? XD lol of course I'll be happy to take over.... though it'll be slow cuz I have a full time job, but hey, I wanna see this thing get through, it's interesting.Booncy wrote:Lol, I'm back and I have to agree with u_queen. I'll wait for Hagaren to post a reply here too and see what he thinks and if he's willing to WORK WITH ME in helping make this project a success.... (if not, I'll force him XD )

Hmm, I dont know if I can host an MEP at the moment. I have an AMV I'm working on, a project that needs to be done ASAP, and a lack of HD space. Until I could at least finish this project (Which would probablly be sometime in September), I wouldn't want to pile more stuff on myself and not get anything done. :<
