My current Final Cut Pro project. Nothing really impressive since I exported my huffy from my pc and transferred it to my macbook. I plan to finish this video in FCP. If anyone wanted to know what the FCP interface looked like, this is it.

I'm loading the vob files in mpegstreamclip and converting them into the mac's native dv files. I tried making huffys in vdubmod and they turned out REALLY big in comparison to the huffy files on my pc. I think it was like a gig a minute or something like that. Where about 2 minute vobs on my PC were like 1.4 GB.Kionon wrote:I'd like SimpleMovieX even better if it wasn't for the price tag, but did you manage to somehow get AVS to work in Streamclip, or are you simply moving clips to it after VDubmod?Castor Troy wrote:I'm almost liking mpegstreamclip better than virtualdub.
The native dv files I made were a tad lower than my PC huffy files, look pretty much the same quality, and scrub perfectly in Final Cut.
For some reason, mpegstreamclip on my macbook seeks ALOT faster through the vobs than vdubmod via avisynth. I only have a dual core macbook with 1 GB of ram, but it almost felt as fast as my quad core PC.
I think I may consider getting a dedicated mac system in the future when I have the money.
