I kinda wanted to rant off on miyazaki films, but I think it's lupin III, too.

It actually is not. Also, I'll take the Miyazaki as general guess and say that it's not anything from miyazaki.

So this makes 2 guesses, and here's another hint: this anime series wasn't released in america afaik... but the manga was.
