Okay, well I've been editing for over a year now and I feel pretty confident with my skills. Unfortunately I'm a complete idiot when it comes to actually ripping my DVD's.
I have fairly decent quality clips with the program I'm using now (please don't ask its embarrassing) but after downloading some of the amazing AMV's off of a-m-v.org I can't help but feel inadequate when it comes to clip quality.
So as my final question, could someone please help me with some suggested (amateur proof) programs or a web page that could help direct me. I'm completely lost and a lot of the technical words I do not understand.
Thanks

This guide is basically a step by step walk-through, along with just about all the auxillary software you'll need for amvs.
