Anime In The News
“Among Japanese fans — the guys — it is a badge of honor to say, ‘We do not need real women; [these] figures are better, they do not talk back’” said Macias. “Americans are not there yet, but at the rate things are going, we are going to be seeing that.”

The guy that wrote this is obviously an ass that doesn't really know what he's talking about. :O
"American fans may not go that far — at U.S. conventions, for example, otaku men and women socialize, date and sometimes actually fall in love, unlike their loner Japanese counterparts."
Really? I'm shocked!

Once you get further into anime, you realize it is quite the sick disturbing place. Try to be a picture collector of anime without running into every other picture depicting a very young girl as sexual.
This is most of the focus on the imageboards that I've gone to. Everyone has obsessions with young girls. That's fine and all I guess but I want to find more mature anime(not in the explicit but also mentally stimulating), but they are so focused on the cutesy stuff and the same style of facial expressions that it all starts to feel like the same shit.
And I want more girls in the anime community to speak out their feelings on this little girl obsession in anime. What do they think about it, do they not mind it or are they jumping on board with this dirty little camp?
You get into anime, and you just go down the rout of finding out what you'll be faced with once you become a bigger fan.

“When you see a kid sitting in Borders reading a manga, he’s not just reading a comic book,” Macias said. “There is something really powerful going on there.”
That statement borders between true and retarted, now, when im in borders loitering next to the manga shelf, i do see kids in there loitering sometimes, but i dont see anything "powerful", all i see is a kid enjoying some Naruto, that'd be like saying, the person next to them reading an article in a Fangoria magazine has something powerful going on over too but no one says anything because its only graphic violence and not anything about boobs....Or something like that.
Life is but a dream.....So what happens when you wake up?
