Does lagarith avi take up computer space??

hi guys i wanted to know since im rippin' alot of dvds and storing them on my pc i wanted to know if my lagarith footage will take up alot of disc space?

you should use a lossless codec because you dont lose quality

however if you take only clips of the footage you need you can cut out a lot of stuff you won't be using... so the best suggestion is to just take clips

oki. because im using lagarith for the lossless codec.
