Ending thoughts

Post by Nankotsu » Sun Sep 14, 2008 8:38 pm

Spoiler :
As Code Geass draws to a close and yes I am of the opinon that this is the last season, but I never underestimate people potential to draw things out to make more money. Here are my thoughts on Zero Requiem.

I believe that Lelouch's goal with in Zero Requiem is to become a messiah for the world. Now let me back up and explain this. Messiah does not mean god, while many messiahs claim to be god, it is not the ultimate purpose of one. If you look at most messiahs you will see that most have one thing in common, they were sacrificed to bring about the betterment of mankind. What Lelouch is doing in my opinon is drawing everyones anger, rage and resentment into himself and becoming the evil of the world. I believe he plans to die after destroying the Damocles and thorough his death, bring a measure of peace to the world. How exactly he plans to accomplish this I'm not sure of at this time, but that is what I believe Zero Requiem is.

Spoiler :
Messiah equated as god? I don't think I've heard of such an interpretation. I always hear messiah as one who is a conduit for the voice of god. Tomato Tomatah perhaps.

Ep23 was just disappointing for me, it feels like, hmm, we have 3 episodes to wrap up this entire series into sense. If we take out all the plot and stuff in the points and some action, we'll have a finale.

Can someone explain to me exactly
Spoiler :
the explanation that Sayoko gave?
It seemed way too convenient the way I interpreted it.
Afterall, we did see all of them get swallowed by FLEIJA. I want a better explanation than a complicated way to say "It missed."

I used to hate Suzaku and now I hate the Black Knights who decided to turn their back on Lelouch simply because Zero used them.Like they would ever get such an enormous power if it weren't for Zero....

Nunnally remains the idiotic girl who thinks she can be useful at something and only worsens the situation all the time...

Ep23 was too little.Wanted a lot more and I don't like splitting a battle in half.^^
It's hard since I kinda had a crush on these 3, Nunally, Shirley, and Euphemia. By that I mean if there was a girl in real life like them I'd have a crush. Sadly it's not possible. And you might be thinking "How can an otaku get a girlfriend?" While the truth remains, it's about you as a person, not whether you like anime or not. But there's always Otaku girls, we both keep wishing our relationship were more like a manga, then we laugh and agree that our relationship is fine the way it is.
I never compared Code Geass with real life and I never wanted to seem that way.I just wanted to say that, unlike other shows,in Code Geass there are no certain things, like "good characters, bad characters,must-hate characters" and stuff. And that's the best thing about it.^^

it was obvious that after 21, Code Geass would start to fall apart. I mean think about it. Essentially the anime had two plots going on separately and they just couldn't bring it together, theres "Code Geass" which deals with all that thought elevator and consciousness crap which doesn't make sense, and theres also "Lelouch of the Rebellion" which is a mix of V for Vendetta and whatever Shakespeare play about a boy wanting revenge against his TO-SAN. I personally prefer the former and wished they stretched it out more instead of cramming it into 2 episodes which stand out too much.

Once again I say, the series should had ended ep21.

But hey even if Code Geass R2 has a crap ending the start of season 2 of Gundam 00 will make me forget about it :D

Also keep in mind that Code Geass is very fan orientated. Toys, cosplay, everything, its popular. The producers won't want to lose the fans. So even if they kill off Lelouch it will be in a justified way. Lets hope that its not predictable. Predictable endings ftl...

Also hopefully it doesn't end in some confusing fashion. I don't mind a little mistery or making you use your head but crappy endings that don't make any sense just to be enigmatic are a pain.

I hate it when they just end it without resolving things.

Is it just me or does this show seem to kill off people to avoid having to tie up loose ends?

I always think I know whats gonna happen. Then something comes along and confuses the hell outta me, then something else happens to make it make sense.
