Hello No, Vista sucks ass^^
LivingFlame wrote:Hmm, kind of makes me wonder if the codec got installed properly. I guess you might check to see if it's there. Assuming you have XP, look for VFCodec.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32\

Alternatively, you can go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information. From there look at your Video codecs to see if it's in the list.

That was indeed the problem, I installed the codec again and it recognizes the codec now..but the vfapi file has plain black image ._.

You may have to recreate the fake avi, since the codec was screwy the first time.
... yea ...

I'm guessing you're making the fake avi because lossless takes up too much HDD space?
If VFAPI wont work and fakeavi's cant be fixed (i never used that one before myself) then I suggest making some clips with lagarith and minimizing the file size ...ie kill the audio stream, don't up the saturation etc... my BBB discs are actually only taking up 4 gb each for gothik so ummm yeah sorry I cant help much more than that
new banzors in the making :p

I'd rather die than wasting all my time on making stupid clips. I'm sure that would take up more time than I'd actually edit. And I a) dont have that time & b) I barely actually edit anymore and all this effort wouldn't be worth it. Also, as you already mentioned it's just too much space. I don't want to turn all this shit into lossless and then have to delete it if I want to use another anime.

so in short: It's too much work for a minimal result.

Thanks for trying to help anyway ;_;

I'm rathe baffled as to why it still won't work. If Vegas can recognize the codec and you've already recreated the fake avi, I can't think of a good reason for it to not work properly. 'Cuz it's all working in MPC, right? The avs file and the avi file? It's all rather mind-boggling at this point. :?

The avi file does not play properly in WMPC or Vdubmod. Just like in vegas, it appears as a blank black clip.

And lol, I didn't know you could play .avs files in WMPC.

There was an error that appeared though:

MPEG2 Source: DGIndex/DGDecode mismatch. You are picking up a version of DGDecode, possibly from your plug ins directory, that does not match the version of DGIndex used to make the D2V file. Search your hard disk for all copies of DGDecode.dll and delete or rename all of them except for the one that has the same version number as the DGIndex.exe that was used to make the D2V file.
(F:\Videos\DVD's\Elfen Lied\elfen lied volume 1.avs, line 1)

And apparently I'm now getting the same error when I try to add the .avs to vdubmod (that didn't happen before) :/

Well, THAT error is actually fixable (and fairly common around here). Do what it says.

o.o did you install the DGI from amvapp 3 beta?
try unistalling that and putting the amvapp 2.0 DGIindex back in.

that almost looks like the original index was made with the earlier version and now wont run 'cause you have the new version....
new banzors in the making :p
