Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Post by hasteroth » Mon Sep 15, 2008 8:18 am

Also called Haruka Nogizaka's Secret.

Anybody else watch this? I do. You know... I'd love a girlfriend like Haruka... though my GF would kill me if she heard me say that. Lucky she ain't a member of this forum.

i'm watching it and am a little undecided. the first 2 eps were really interesting and there have been 1 or 2 eps after that which have had good plots, but then there are a bunch of eps which are the typical romantic comedy formula of the boy and girl trying to go on dates and stuff which are found in just about every series similar to this. it has a good concept but doesnt take complete advantage of it, the story has only really gone forward in like 4 of the 10 eps out.

If it's entertaining I watch it. If it's boring I don't watch it.

I've been following this for a while now.

I'm not really following the new anime releases lately because of my J-dorama marathon :3 But this hooked me up somehow.

Indeed. Great start, which led to the current "still good, but not that awesomely great" state. Still better than many other ongoing shows anyway.

Oh, and my gf *is* a bit like Haruka. ;D

It's alright compared to recent releases as far as story plots goes..
However I do find it a tad bit corny.

Sometimes corny is good. I find it adorable. Haruka is just too cute!

it's gotten a bit better, a bit more story and character development, although there is still so much cliche stuff there, like the "girl walking in to find her boyfriend lying on top of another girl (which is an accident) and misunderstanding it" scene.

I kinda like it better when the girl doesn't jump to conclusions. The whole misunderstanding thing is way too common a cliche in anime. You just think "If only the guy could explain, and the girl actually listen."
