No, I did not provide any valid explanation, why or how.

Im not against it or anything, but that has been the main argument... of course that argument is for a "streaming only" site...

I'd still pay for it to not be implemented. :?

This would only be the case if people who are planning to watch a certain video multiple times, stream these videos each time. In which case it would be more convenient for them to archive these videos anyway.
my point exactly :P
Then tell people not to; it's not like the current model disallows multiple downloads of the same AMV. I could just as easily download an AMV to a temporary directory, delete it when I'm done watching it and redownload it when I feel like watching it again. In fact, a streaming option could actually save bandwidth, because the first 30 seconds of an AMV might be enough for someone to decide that he's seen enough.

Glad to see you're still not supporting your statement with any argument whatsoever.

yea you can tell people not to but telling people what to do doesn't always work :/

and as for Bashar: what part of "he doesn't like streaming" is so hard to figure out?

I thought I made my objections quite clear in that thread. Making things more accessible bring lots of unwanted attention (see youtube) which in turn brings the increased chance for legal woes, and when Phade's asked for a list of names, he's certainly not going to keep the donator's list a secret.

One thing to keep in mind: the .Org has a more tightly controlled environment than Youtube.

Programmed restrictions tend to work better in that regard.
