Thanks for the critique.
I thought the song would be too corny and what not for the song, cause I heard it was rated the worst song of all time or something?
But Macross 7 is like that in way so I guess it'll work out then.

I'm gonna have to agree that M7 isn't bad.
Hell, it's not even like it's the worst installment for Macross (I'd rate II and Frontier lower without losing any sleep.)

Not at all! Well at the first several episodes I thought it was bad but as the show progressed I slowly realized it and grew to love the show for it's awesomeness.

Exactly, people dislike due to the fact that Basara doesn't like to fight even though he is using a high-end valkryie, everyone just wants action and the story gets repetitive with that behavior and the music.
As for the song, I think it reflects on the anime completely, with the whole aspect of Basara's singing in raising everyone's "spiritia" in City 7. The last episode pretty much put it out that way.

I heard it when I was in the car with my brother, and was like OMG this fits perfectly with M7.

I'm just worried if I'm going to get the same vibe for the AMV if it is made.

haha, i had the same reaction >.>

It was really bad at first but by the end I was totally into it >.> I still think the whole protodevlin thing was a little out there though... makes it hard to do anything serious amv wise -_- I tired using a scene and someone called the dude a weird monkey thing, hehe.

Yeah, thats basically everyone's input on it, that was of course if they actually liked the anime.

Well I'm still eh on using the song since its such a old and corny song, along with a semi-old anime. To tell that truth that's all I have been doing with most of my AMVs lately, I've been using old animes.

But I know I can lip sync Basara's and Mylene's voices well into the song, maybe ideas come out the places that you least expect?
Now my only issue is finding the remastered raws as the DVD boxsets go for $300+ each. Luckily VIP has 1-24 already done, so finding the rest is going to be hard.
