Actually I was waiting for this :O cause it has cool name. Elysium sounds coooool >.<
Anyway some tracks I liked more, some less but over all its 3/5 for me. Watching it I just didnt felt what I felt while watching... for example 'Reflection of Styles' or 'Memories Flash'. The mainly reason is probably I dont like this kind of music. But good work everyone :O! The credits are damn kewl :<.

That bias aside, I couldn't get into it. There were two tracks that I thought really stood out: Mamo's was really awesome, I gotta give him props, his editing didn't let up for a second, and it was one of the few tracks where I really felt a good connection between the music and visuals. I also really liked ZetZu's first track. Even though he cheated by using ef, it was really fun to watch. Oh, and I liked the credits too.
Nothing else jumped out at me. I just finished watching it not five minutes ago and I can barely remember any of the other tracks, because they all ran together. Everything just started to feel really repetitive editing-wise. This is an MEP that would have benefitted from being shorter; you could have easily gotten away with a six-to-seven minute MEP with only two or three Basshunter songs instead of 15, with less tracks to hand out to editors.
That's how I feel, anyway. You did a nice job with the transitions and the mixing was pretty decent too, but as a whole the MEP just really started to wear on me. Couldn't get into it.

If they did, I just hope they aren't/don't become profi reviewers ;xArashinomeAMV wrote:Dude, shut the fuck up already. Did you ever think that maybe, just MAYBE the editors were leaving opinions for the tracks they didn't edit? Either download the video and leave your feedback here or get the fuck out. Nobody wants to hear your bitching.x_rex30 wrote:It's not fair to the people who download it. If it's your own work, leave it to the public to decide if it's good or not. It's like imagine if you went to download some software and every review for it was done by people who made it. Or going to yahoo movies and all the user reviews are in actuality people who worked on the flick. or buying some product from amazon and the few reviews the product has is by the company. Well some of these can actually happen like with the amazon thing and downloading software. Of course if you review it most likely your going to boost it.
I do, sorry for that :lOtohiko wrote:Who downloads videos based on ratings anymore, anyways? Rolling Eyes
Anyways, I don't care about it being in Top10, or sumfin. My issue is rather different - I won't op it, because I know that my opinion won't have any weight in numbers anyway.
It's like the editors patting themselves on their backs and saying: "Hah, we did great job, we don't care about your opinions!" which seems a little egocentric to me.
I know you guys probably did this as a joke, or in a good faith, but it just seems arrogant to me.
And sorry for this comment, I won't tell anything more to this matter (made myself sad now :/ )

We're sitting here in Ventrilo watching some Elysium? =O
Anyway, people need to stop arguing and start spamming like I just did :\
So, basically, we get to see Ayumix drama again
I still think that this MEP was one of the highlights this year (MEP-wise, of course) among a few other projects. And all the people who were a part of this project put quite an effort into editing their segments. It's natural that some people expected more but that will always be the case with the meps like this... So, next time, try not to expect anything, and you might be able to enjoy it more
It's also good that we got to see some constructive criticism, but let's keep it at it and avoid flaming and stuff, at the least...
From my point of view... The MEP turned out rather well, imo, and I am glad I was a part of it. As for the favourite track, that would definitely be Mamo's. When I first saw the beta on the server, I knew that it was going in the right direction and it just blew me away when I saw it in the final. Another awesome track was Takefuji's where I think she totally nailed the feeling of the song with the Death Note pick.
And of course, epic credits are EPIC =O

Hopefully everybody's taken their chill pills by now.
Obviously this MEP isn't going to appeal to everybody's tastes, the entire Org population is very difficult to please. But getting our panties in a twist because of the opinion system, the random action quick tracks, and everything else that has been complained about the past few thread pages is the worst way to go about it.
It shouldn't be beyond everybody's abilities to provide constructive criticism, and I'm glad most of the folks were able to do that. We participated in this project because we enjoyed it, we had fun creating something that appealed to our tastes and we're proud of it. But taking up that many pages discussing the faults of the Org system and the involved editors abilities is kind of ridiculous, right?
It's not The Greatest MEP Ever To Grace The Internets. We had a lot of fun editing it, despite whatever issues were brought up in the process, and - if you're like me - it's more fun to watch something shiny and be amused rather than being too critical about particular details. Thanks to everyone who left positive and/or constructive comments on the project, and if possible, let's keep the excessively negative flames to ourselves. Sometimes, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
And I also want to thank the folks who actually liked my Death Note track. I know I could've done better, and in retrospect I should've, but I get this silly feeling of doubting my editing abilities and just leaving things the way they are. Those comments made my day \o\

Kudos to Chii on her awesome song mix, intro, and credits. And I'm not just saying that because we're related. Maybe a little because if I said something bad she'll kick me. Overall I enjoyed the project, there were a few tracks that weren't my favourites, and there were some/most that were just awesome. Congratulations to everybody else involved on a project well done!

YYAAYYZZ! I'm getting, will leave comments in 47 minutes.
EDIT:
Holy shit. That was wicked. Seriously, good job to everyone. Intro, outro, transitions, everything was well done. A ton of different moods and styles throw in. Good old fashioned effects whoring. Chibis were beyond words.
If i had watched the tracks individually I would have torn them apart. But when you put it all together it just works.
This may just be the effects loving raver in me, but this is my fav mep this year. The only thing i would have changed would have been the letter boxing, but you played around with it in a few tracks so it wasn't too bad. I personally would have made the ARs uniform.
So yeah. Good job everyone. 5/5
Totally worth the wait and download.
