If everyone agrees to that, then it should be fine - at the moment I don't see anyone speak up who's against widescreen. My track is just a bit of an anomaly since it can go either way (or so I think at the moment).OnyX DragoN wrote:well, why can't we just have the mep be 640 x 480, and when a widescreen track comes, it can switch to letterboxed 640 x 360. There are tons of neat ways to switch from full to wide and back to full.
Ok, I think I get it. If I see this correctly, that would mean that we either [A] pick scenes at the end/beginning of the tracks such that they can flow nicely into each other through a hardcut, or leave extra footage on the beginning/end of our tracks so that they fade (or some other effect) into each other nicely. Of course, discussing with the editors before and after during the process.TwighlightChrono wrote:I'm not saying you have to combine the tracks yourself. Just work out the way you are going to end and begin your tracks, so that it makes it easier for me to combine them. I will do the combining, I'm just saying talk it out with the editor in front of and behind you to see how you are going to begin and end your tracks, for easy combinability. A.K.A. Easy Transitions.

I'd say that's about it, Though personally I'd say go ahead and edit the track how you want without having to have the ending set in stone before hand. Then just together with the other editor with what you already have. If necessary you could change things at that point.

It think wide screen 720x480 (No letterbox) as i asume most of you will be working from DVD and will keep the fottage at its original and best quality.

I honestly see no problem with creatively going from fullscreen to widescreen if needed. If this project is converted to widescreen, how would that effect fullscreen tracks? Cropping or squishing?

I think its pretty safe to assume no one has a problem with a dual AR project. As long as it is cool with TC

Re: The CascadaThon MEP [2 SPOTS LEFT] [Time-Codes Are Up]
I actually just found out that I was always thinking of the wrong definition for 'letterboxing' =/, but I know what it really is now, and I'm still ok with this idea too. Although I would prefer to do my track in fullscreen, I will willingly change my idea to do a widescreen track if I am the only person doing a fullscreen track.LittleAtari wrote:I'm good with that idea.OnyX DragoN wrote:well, why can't we just have the mep be 640 x 480, and when a widescreen track comes, it can switch to letterboxed 640 x 360.
