log in problem

Post by Autraya » Sat Nov 29, 2008 3:40 am

Because it's too much stuffing about and this sums up the problem and all the things discussed about it.
* derobert changes topic to 'Read the Rules: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/irc/amvircrules.html | The Vault Needs You: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =2&t=91660 | Video uploads are back'
<Aut|GothikII> whoa
<Aut|GothikII> but loging in is broken
<Aut|GothikII> http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa31 ... nerror.jpg
<Aut|GothikII> that's the "pop up for 1 second so you can't read it" log in error
<derobert> wtf
<derobert> works for me
* Yue gives Derobert a cookie
<Aut|GothikII> T_T
<Aut|GothikII> no .org lub for Auty
<Aut|GothikII> and no cookies either
<Aut|GothikII> it's still doing it
<Aut|GothikII> i closed the window and cleared history
<derobert> ummm
<Aut|GothikII> did you break my account because i didn't give you a cookie?
<derobert> which page are you logging in from?
<derobert> and what is your username?
<derobert> and does it work on the forum?
<Aut|GothikII> http://www.animemusicvideos.org/home/home.php <-- logging in from there
<Aut|GothikII> and
<Aut|GothikII> http://www.animemusicvideos.org/login.p ... s_main.php
<Aut|GothikII> user name Autraya
<Aut|GothikII> I was already logged into the forum but i just loggen out and back in without any problems
<derobert> hmm, I have no idea how that line is blowing up :-(
<Aut|GothikII> I'm using IE not firefox... mebbe that has something to do with it
<Aut|GothikII> Yue: did you log in with firefox?
<Yue> huh?
<Yue> yes
<Yue> sorry
<Aut|GothikII> lol sorry
<Aut|GothikII> I missread
<Aut|GothikII> derobert said he logged in not you
* Yue is playing Pangya and not really paying attention >>
<Aut|GothikII> yeah i was editing and not paying attention either >.<
<derobert> yeah, I'm using firefox
<Aut|GothikII> humm
<Aut|GothikII> do you want me to try from another pc?
<Aut|GothikII> also with IE tho >.>
<derobert> sure, why not, no clue why its not working... maybe doki knows. Or maybe I'd know, if it weren't 3:30 AM
<Aut|GothikII> ok .. same error
<Aut|GothikII> and that's using a different ISP as well
<Aut|GothikII> not that it matters but eh
<derobert> any luck with firefox?
<Aut|GothikII> i don't have firefox
<Aut|GothikII> it's destroyed my PC twice
<Aut|GothikII> i will never re-install it x_x
<derobert> wtf? how has firefox destroyed your pc? never heard of it doing that!
<Aut|GothikII> needed a complete rebuild both times >:[
* Aut|GothikII was not a happy burly
<Aut|GothikII> there was some thread arguing about IE vs Firefox a few years ago anyway some firefox users had the same reaction you did until several others came forward with similar problems to mine
<Aut|GothikII> and then it got locked for going way off topic... and flaming
<Aut|GothikII> besides the point tho... any ideas as to why it hates me?
<derobert> no, no clue, but that might be because its 3:30 in the morning...
<derobert> ask in the forum, I guess
<Aut|GothikII> lol then off to bed with you
Can we please not turn this into an IE vs Firefox discussion either, i'm using IE and that's not going to change because of my personal experience with the other program, it might work fine for some others out there but not for me. I'd just like to log in is all.

Also on my end 1 pc has service pack 3 and the other doesn't (whether that makes any difference)

I didn't have another name... but this got me thinking

<Autraya> mitch can i get you to try something for me?
<Autraya> log into my a-m-v.org account
<Autraya> just to see if it's my profile or something else
<Autraya> haven't been able to log in for 2 days
<Autraya> do anything bad with my account and i'll kill you :-*
<Niotex> works fine for me
<Niotex> forum works fine too
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> yeah forum works for me
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> but i can't log into the home page
<Niotex> I'm logging out of your acount now though
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> 1 sec did you type "A" or "a" ? for autraya?
<Niotex> A
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> mmm
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> rofl
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> I actually just logged in using caps
<Niotex> Don't tell me it works now?
* Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr facepalms keyboard
<Niotex> Gjob
<Aut|hawt|wewt|nekked|shwr> on forum it's not case sensitive but the normal one is
So it's working now, I thought of using the capital 'cause my name change was a capital "A" so the little "a" doesn't work from my old name.... however i've been logging on with the little "a" the whole time before and after the server hack and it always works(until yesterday). *shrugs*

I can't log in. I tried on both Firefox 3.0 & Opera 9.62. Already cleared all cookies.

My account "Parsliza" won't let me log in.
All I get is:

ERROR: Login failed. (113)
Username / password combination did not match.

But my old account works alright :(
I cleared the cookies, but still it doesn't work
