What To Watch, Bleach Dub or Sub?
You know how many people like dubs and subs? Well, I just wanna ask is bleach dub decent? I know some animes have horrible dub versions, but some are decent.
I prefer dubs because I can sit back and not have to read so much. But if the dub version is really lame compare to the subs, then I rather watch the subs.
So what do you think about the dub of bleach?

The dub is at least half decent, but if your aiming to truly watch the anime, you should watch the sub version because its about 90 episodes ahead of the dub.

I mean, is the fighting scenes as powerful (in terms of voice wise) as the sub? Japanese people are able to portray rage and anger in their voice a lot better.
I can always watch a bunch in dub and when there's no dub I'll go for sub.
Lets rate it then, if the sub is a 10...whats the dub rated as in terms of intensity added to the anime?

Sub. Definitely. I totally agree with you on the anger and rage.
I watched (burn me, purge me with salt!) Naruto's first leak of the nine-tails in eng(vs Haku) and then I watched the subs. The Japanese voices owned the english by a mile.

Perhaps, but then the main charecter in bleach isn't voiced by a 43 year old woman who has to talk from the back of her throat in the first place.76 wrote: I watched (burn me, purge me with salt!) @Dizmo: I can wholeheartedly reccomend the bleach dub. In general it's done very well and the voices actually seem better suited to the charecters than the sub. The emotion in action scenes feels perfectly fine. (especially Ichigo). In fact, I felt that the english VAs gave them actual personality. Wherein the sub it just felt like copypasta gruff shonen hero #536.
Of course, like anything the first couple of episodes sound forced while they're getting into their roles. And as has been said the subs quite a ways farther along. Your choice.

Re: What To Watch, Bleach Dub or Sub?
Well I originally started watching the dub of Bleach, from about episodes 1 - 46 (because it was on TV, and I didn't search up anime online that often.) When I heard that the dub wasn't finished, I switched to sub and got used to it. Now I'm just trying to catch up to the current/latest Bleach episode out.
The only part that I dislike about the dub is Renji's voice. His japanese voice actor was just so much better, in my opinion (although I give points to the dubbed guy for trying.) Everyone else in the dub is pretty good, like Byakuya and Ichigo.
Hitsuguya's dubbed voice bugs me a bit, not not as much as Renji dubbed. >_<

I like Bleach in English, I don't care that I'm far behind storywise, and the voice acting's good. But if you want to watch the sub, go right ahead. I prefer dub because I don't have to read words at the bottom of the screen.

I watch the subs. I use to watch the dubs until about 40ish, but then I realized that the the dubs were so far behind. I personally like the subs for almost every anime. The dubs just seem to destroy the show.

Both are good IMHO. Again, fansubs are way ahead...so it depends on how patient you are. But I still like to watch the Dub too, I think the VAs did good (which translates to the studio and director doing a good job, b/c most the time, the VAs are usually good period...the anime gets hashed by other powers that be). If I had my choice when it's finished, I'd go with the dub, only b/c I don't have to have my contacts in or glasses on to watch it. lol.
Then again, I can usually switch between dub and subs rather easily. lol.

Absolute truth is objective, but in reality truth can only be viewed as subjective through our own personal perspectives.
