Dont forget the rules

Video source must be anime.

Non of that Video Game stuff that you use.

To make it a fair fight i suggest we use the same Audio Track. Dont you agree?

deuceloosely can be the judge.
There's a slight problem with that. If you would go back to page 3 you would see this post by me:

It's a:

"Hancock/Anime/What do you want a cookie?" Combination trailer. I'm masking frame by frame the whole original teaser trailer to Hancock, mixing in some anime scenes, like in the TV's and billboards and stuff. Various anime, funny scenes, I even got the Serious Look Hamster in there at one point. Which is why I said, the frame by frame is a bitch.

Here's an example:

Hancock is drunk and flies through a highway interstate directions billboard, but anime is masked to it. The sign breaks to pieces but the anime is still masked on during the whole breaking and still shows on the pieces of the broken sign as it wrecks the cop cars.

See what I mean? You should see the bit where he tosses the whale off the beach and into the ocean, and it hits the boat. So much masking there it's not even funny.

A bitch......I think so. That's why it is taking longer than expected. there are still a lot of frames where the mask skips, and I am fixing that.

This, is what my submission is for AMV Salad: 3 Bean Casserole.

Been working on it for about 6 hours a day for the past 3 and a half weeks.
And that post was made a long while ago. I've been working on mine for a long time. Deuce is pretty much ancy, like there are ants in his pants, to see this. On page 4, Deuce describes his excitement. On page 6, he says he still can't wait to see it. You got a long way to go to catch up. XD I wish ya luck.

*excited narrator voiceover*
What's this? A rivalry over who will turn in the most epic trailer? What will become of the AMV Salad landscape when these two titans clash? Will either of them survive the duel? Only time will tell, friends. Stay tuned for the next episode to witness the exciting conclusion! Same bat-time, same...oh, wait...

Hi all. I am new to the site. I heard about it from the creator of AMV Salad at Nekocon 11 (2008). I have a few ideas I would like to start on to help with this project. I can help with the trailers and the main portion. Right now I only have Window Movie Maker, but I may get a better program soon. Let me know if I can help. Thank you.

welcome ^^

Windows movie maker is a nice program to start with you can do quate a bit with it if you dont mind taking long ways roud with you video editing ^^

I nam shure you can come up with some good ideas of your own that you can work on and send in, Working with other people in this kind of work is not un heard of but is very rare and i know most of the shorts in AMV salad can be made by somone on there own in a very short period of time.

What i would recommend it watching other comedy MEPs and then start getting some ideas in your head wright them down and start playing with the ideas in a video editor this is what i do ^^

I started off with Windows movie maker on windows ME, but now i use Ulead midea studio Pro 8
And the AMVapp tools that you can download from animemusicvideos.

hope this helps ^^

Welcome to our little band of weirdos. :P We can always use more.

I also started with WMM 3 1/2 years ago. I've been using Sony Vegas for about a year 'n a half after using Screenblast for a few months. Anyway, I also followed the advice of many here, acquiring VirtualDubMod (for compressing and cropping out subtitles, although I'm done with downloading anime ;)) and the latest versions of DivX, XVid, HuffYUV, and whatever other codecs were necessary. My main problem right now is finding someone who can rip some episodes from my DVDs so I can proceeed with my new AMV (I don't have a DVD drive or a decryption program yet :().

Just remember, when saving your video on WMM, to use the DV/AVI setting. Don't bother with anything else. The objective is to preserve as much visual quality as possible.

How long have you been making video? I, personally, tinkered with the program for a while (experimenting with effects, timing, layering, etc) until it started freezing / shutting down on me in mid-project. From what I've seen so far, Vegas (I use 7) is the closest comparable interface to WMM and is rather easy to learn. I swear by it.

Anyway, just send me whatever you come up with and be sure to follow the specs (first post) as closely as you can. We'll work things out...

I just started earlier this year shortly after otakon (began shortly after) and finish my first some time right before Anime USA. I have all my AMVs posted to my you tube site. If you want I can post a link to it and just PM someone if you like. It you wish to use any part please give me credit. I don't claim ownership of the songs or animes used. I may try Pro soon I need to download the free trail version first. I have a limit budget and can't afford to spend a lot on a hobby right now (anime is the exception). To be honest I saw a lot a good AMV and thought to my self, " I could do this", the videos are the result. I have various times lengths running from 1:31 to almost 4 minuets or more. I too buy a lot of anime :) help support the industry :)
