Cosplay, Anyone?

I was wondering how many people like to cosplay?
When i get the chance i like to, unfortunately this isn't as much as i would like, some people might have seen me at Animania or to a lesser extent Supanova,
i was SailorMoon at Supanova (i'm male, it was a dare)
and Spike from Bebop at Animania (if i have to pose and say "Bang" one more time......)
also:
Vash the Stampede
Vicious
Master IIPalaazzo
Battousai the Manslayer (series)
Himura Kenshin (Samurai X)
Tetsuo
Shinji Ikari (uniform, plug suit was dismal)
Gatts from Berserk (my sword rules)

So my question still stands, how many people acutally cosplay, or are you one of those people who just laughs at cosplayers.
And who do you cosplay as?

... Animania... Supanova... wait a second. I know those cons. Oddly enough I didn't go to either, (Animania: My Chii "plushie" cost more than the plane tickets), (Supanova: This "convention" has a long way to go before it'll impress me). Hey you were at Animania, surely you caught up with Booyah Productions. If I remember correctly he was cosplaying as Orphen (I hope he did his job of "advertising" both AMVs and AV Con).

In regard to cosplay, it's my first year. I'm only just at the point where I can get a group of people to go interstate for a convention.
Yeah, I cosplay. You really missed out if you didn't catch my Akazukin Cha Cha cosplay at Manifest this year. Unfortunately I was too busy preparing videos and screening titles at AV Con to prepare a costume. For future Ideas, well here's what I'm hoping to do next year/end this year...

Animania: Lain in her Bearsuit or Shinji in Asuka's Plugsuit
AV Connection: Robert (Jungle wa itsumo Hale nochi Guu)
Manifest: Hideki (Chobits)

I was thinking of cossplaying next year at AX but it requires me to get money for the outfit which is difficult. Currently there are three characters in anime of whom I resemble...

Ryo from Samurai Troopers
Miroku from Inu-Yasha (when my hair is put back)
Kamatari from Kenshin (Shut up)

I get as involved at cons as I can. Cosplay, Paintings in the art room, Amv's in the contset. I dont believe cons are worth the money if you dont go all out for them.

Not that I think it's bad. But because I'm a better seamstress than I am a model, and I know how bad the Ugly Cosplayer Problem is already.

Anyhow, I only do this now and then if people ask me, and I've done...

- Wedding Peach (ye freaking gods was this irritating to make. I swore off magical girls after this )
- St. Tail
- Xelloss (Slayers)

and in gaming,
- Squall (FFVIII)
- All the mages from FFI (White, Black, Red)
- A summoner from FFV with the horn from FFTactics, just because I felt like it

It's fun. I'm not teh flaming b4d4$$ at it, but it's fun.
