I have opened the submissions for the 2009 AMV Contest.
I am still hammering out a few details regarding the FTP so that will be up and running soon

>>Update<<
all I ask is that if you do choose to respond, please be polite and respectful. People are more open to discussing how to better accomidate events when people arent using open attacks.AMV Contest Location Change wrote:Currently I have had a flood of contacts from various people asking about the move from Main Events Stage to the AMV Theater. Most are wondering if this will hurt the contest.
Please note that as I am currently n the middle of some of the hardest work on the contest, I cannot respond to each and every email, IM, etc, but I wish to say that this will not hinder the contest at all. Some things will be different, one of which will being able to afford more scrutiny over the audio playback of the contest which in turn will provide a better quality contest in the long run, as well as opening the Contest showing to a wider range of people who otherwise would not be able to attend a singular Friday night showing.
Also please understand that with the nature of the AMV Contest it was the logical choice to move because it is the most dynamic and easily adaptable event we have, allowing it to conform to whichever room we chose to run it in.
So please don't continue to focus on the negative aspects of the move as that will not help the situation, and understand that the contest has been through worse times than this and has survived, this is just going to be a new challenge that will need to be adapted to and overcame.
