adobe premiere and after effects help

i just bought adobe premiere pro and adobe after effects so far i got a pretty good understanding on how to use it and iam currently working on a amv mix with a little MAD (Japanese style amv with still pictures) . i was wondering how to preview the effects and transitions on both soft ware before you use them?

Before using them? So before applying them to your video?

There are no real fonctions to do that to my knowledge, but you can at least do that for the majority of the preset in After Effect with adobe bridge.

With this software, go in you adobe after effect preview directory and check the effect that you want. The directory should be something like this:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS3\Support Files\Presets

Just toss a clip into the program and apply them? That's what I do. :book:

ok thanks you guys i gusse that i will just do what Krisqo said and just make a dummy clip and see what they are.but iam stell going to find out how to view them with out using them because it will save soooooooo much time with soooooo many effects and transitions .
