The Project!!!
Well, simply put, a comedy based MEP featuring only Gundam00 footage that's got a feel similar to the AMV Hell series. I'm looking for at least 5 submissions but don't care if I get 50, the more the merrier.
Use any audio you want source e.g songs, movie trailers, commercials, scenes from TV shows, comedy routines etc etc . . . . . there's no real limit here as long as it's funny.
Deadline
Depends on interest, if I get overwhelmed with interest then I'll be quick to specify a deadline, if interest is only small then to keep those keen on board I will allow them ample time to finish. I expect interest may be small due to the constriction of only using one anime show.
Video sources
The final video will have a resolution of 720 x 480, or 640 x 480 I'll have to see what people provide me with?
Please use 24fps, Huffy deinterlaced for the final submission, recompressing to save upload time is not acceptable, if you cant send in this format and would like to use another codec, contact me, I'll probably allow it but it means that I have to convert it and I don't want to be doing that to too many videos.
Audio
- uncompressed preferred, let me know if you can't
- if you use audio that's poor quality, please email me, it's impossible to source good quality audio of certain things like old 60s TV and some commercials
Auditions
They aren't required but I'll be judging your submission, I'm not too harsh (I don't think) but I may ask for changes or not accept it all, however you'll definitely be struck off if:-
1. You've broken any rules
2. You don't provide a high quality video e.g. you used an flv off yootube, used footage from someone else's AMV etc
3. You don't provide the video in the correct format (without contacting me)
4. Your effort is clearly way below standards of a comedy AMV e.g. you give me 30 seconds of RUNNING footage (with no scene changes) to music because you thought the song was funny. Like all multi editor projects we want the final result to BE FUNNY and entertaining so don't do this
Rules
- Video source must be from Gundam 00, you can meld footage from other anime if you feel it's relevant to your submission but please email me with your idea first
- Video length can be a few seconds or up 30 seconds (this is more like a guideline rather than a rule). If you have an idea that will take you over that time, discuss with me and I'll likely still take it on board
- Multiple submissions from the same creator are encouraged, as long as they aren't too similar
- A paced multi submission is also fine e.g. something that runs through the video repeatedly like the Eva clutching Kaworu scenes or the Azumanga Mac parody scenes in AMV Hell
- Videos are to be kept secret, no uploading your submissions for the world to see, I don't care if you show your local club or convention but not online
- Using live action footage or backgrounds (with the Gundam footage on top) should be OK, don't overdo it
- a-m-v.org standards please, sexual comedy etc should be OK, after all we do want it to be funny
- No SUBTITLES unless you've put them in for the sake of the scene
- No logos/watermarks. Provide a production tag, logo, watermark of some kind if you wish, to roll on the credits. Use your org name if you prefer but keep it short, if we get overwhelmed with submissions we may need to shorten them further
- A prototype entry would be wonderful (that's compressed to internet style compression) so I can watch it without using bucketloads of download quota, so use virtualdub or Premiere etc to make a crappy web version first
Uploading
- I can't accept large email attachments so use Megaupload, Sendspace etc etc, avoid using 'yousendit' without emailing me first to check if I'm ready because there's a timelimit on those downloads

Final Words
I haven't coordinated a MEP before so apologies if "I'm doing it wrong" but I have a few ideas I want to put in this AMV idea but not enough to make it totally by myself. Have fun everyone!
