Someone's bound to start this thread sooner or later...
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Speaking of Ushicon, here are the AMV guidelines they have about the showcase...

http://www.ushicon.com/vidshowcase.html

It seems they are not having a Ushicon sponsored contest but "La Familia" is working on getting one put together their anyway. ^_^ Also, we are gonna do Ghetto AMV Iron Chef/Ushicon Edition. =P

No Linkin Park or Limp Biscuit
Is anyone else seriously put off by this statement? I have no huge love for either musical artist, nor do I have any videos using either (unless you count Fluxy's birthday vid), but what the fuck kind of showcase is this where you cant use certain types of music or anime?

Im now very happy that these fucking dolts arnt holding a contest.

If they didn't say that, they'd probably get inundated with those, anyway, and they wouldn't have played any.

At least this way, they're being straightforward ahead of time, and people can save time and effort sending in stuff that wouldn't get played, anyway.

5. No Dragonball Z ^_~
That's about 80% of their entries.

Seriously, what kind of fucked up showcase is this? It seems like it's run by some elitist anime snobs. :?
