Alright TC and I managed to beta three tracks together tonight. Why did we only get 3 in? We ran out of daggers to throw at each other every time we each disagreed about something. not really, we pretty much agreed on everything after discussing different things.
Keep in Mind, we love all your betas. We could sit around saying what exactly we liked about each beta, but that would take too long and would bring up a longer list than the faults in the beta.
Everyone please feel free to give any other input that you want.
Review for Vivaldi:
1) Try Time Remaping at :09 on beats. Make sure the overall speed though isnt too fast, if you dont like it, try masking images into the sky.
2) Fix White Lines at top and bottom at :05
3) If possible clean up the last scene from blocking.
4) Sync to one or two more beats in the last scene (time remap suggested, but do as you see fit), if possible extend it for transition reasons.
5) Remove flashes on Haruhi for transition reasons.
Summary for ghet:
1) Extend what you were doing in the first 3 seconds and then use an overlay/fade to go into the next form of sync you want to use. We love the first three seconds and felt like the flow got disrupted when switched from the sky to the white scenes AND/OR with the white scenes, do a smiliar motion/effect that you did in the beginning, as in cut out the girls and zoom them out. This may actually create a good transition between the two parts because you doing very similar things.
2) Stay away from hard cuts. Try fading into black to make the cuts smoother or skip
the black and try fading into the the next scene. Experiment and see what you can
come up with.
Summary for Kaze:
1) Extend Black and White image flashing to just a little before :03. Basically, you'll be extending this by just a little bit.
2) In the class room scene when you remove the guy, extend the fade/delay that by just like half a second to catch the beat
3) The end scene selection is win, but you need to bring it forward a bit so it doesnt get cut off by vivaldi's track. So around :24 sync the beat and go into your ending scenes. Adjust sync and scenes as needed to fit the sync. Also, for transition reasons remove the flashes on the girl when she jumps into the air.
Now, as you can see, I've already started to talk about transitions. If you have any requests/questions about a transition, please feel free to ask me.
Blabbler, everyone has gotten a chance to see each other's betas. Although some of them are still experimental, would you like to see any of them?
