DVD ripping downloaded footage

Let's say that you downloaded footage off the internet, then burned the downloaded footage to a dvd disc,then ripped the downloaded footage from the disc back on to the computer and use that for footage(whew, long sentence). Would this be a better method than just using downloaded footage or would it be just a big waste of time? Thanks.

That would be the equivalent of taking a picture of a photocopied picture. Might as well use the downloaded footage anyway unless you were planning to use some paper-thin "but I am using DVDs!" reasoning.

Illegally downloaded footage is a big NO at this site, didn't you read the rules for this site, so no doing, and talking about it, besides, illegal footage has been compressed so much it looks crappy, not to mention it can have all kinds of icky viruses and you will get banned for talking about it here.
