Re: Jester's Dance
Really good stuff. Loved the song, The footage compliments the song very well matching the mood and tone of the song. Not long and boring, short and sweet. Enough action and flowed real nicely. Good work.

Re: Jester's Dance
I liked this alot.
It flowed really well and the scene selection was awsome. I liked how you used the flashbacks towards the end. This actually makes me want to watch X 1999. I've had chances to but never really wanted to.

Re: Jester's Dance
This uses the same song as my very first amv
/gets when I come home
EDIT:
It was alright. I know the song like the back of my hand, so maybe I was expecting a little more. There were some really good scenes, and decent sync for the first bit, but I would have preferred way more of a contrast between the climaxes. It almost would have worked better if nothing interesting happened until the first climax, because currently it seems a little monotonous; too fast on the slow parts, and too slow during the fast parts; or maybe the slow parts were just right... but could have been picked up more with the music shifts. For example, the scene at 0:46-0:47 would have been so much more epic if placed right at 0:43. And from 0:50-1:00 in the song would have been prime time for a dynamic fight scene, yet the chosen scene barely changed. Some of the drumming could have used more cuts like at 1:09. As a minor note, the immediate start of the video could have been handled differently. Even just a second of black before the first beat would have made a huge difference. I think I've focused too much on the negative here... I mean it was decent, but I just think it had way more potential.

Re: Jester's Dance
Could be improved with a helping of beat sync but that's like saying pasta tastes better with parmesean cheese. It's already good.

Re: Jester's Dance
It seemed to drag on, I couldn't watch it. I just zapped through it after a while to check if this changed somewhere in the video, but it didn't seem to. So I closed the file and deleted it.

Re: Jester's Dance
This made making this video entirely worth it. Not enough newer editors get into older sources like X, which is a shame because they miss out on such great animes.Vax wrote:This actually makes me want to watch X 1999. I've had chances to but never really wanted to.
