Ushio should look like a chibi Nagisa. The voice and mannerisms are too kawaii... [wants to huggle like plushie animal]

The preview for the next ep definitely has Tomoya on edge. [personally, I'd have liked Tomoya and Tomoyo to make babies ^_^]

Ultimately, the dude needs to move on with his life, probably marry one of the other gals. After all, till death do us part is one of the oaths of a real marriage and his being lonely and sad will only be cured once a stepmom comes up ^_^

Episode 17,......USHIO!!! Oh GOD she's so adorable! She's a splitting image of her mother, ya' know? And the giant anteater returns!!

Spoiler :

Five year time skip!!! And most of Tomoya's angst has been told in the first five minutes of the episode so that's a plus.

For the most part, it seems Sanae and Akio attempted to get Tomoya and his daughter to reconcile their rather distant relationship by leaving those two alone and go on a trip (Sanae's rather persistent "nagging" to get Tomoya outside his usual routines worked). Awkwardness ensues, but it's the little things that gave some hope in rebuilding their relationship like how Tomoya fixed up Ushio's broken toy turtle, and how they're eating rice together.

And the ED sequence actually FITS in this episode!

In all honestly I nearly became teary eyed just watching this reunion.

i thought this ep was gonna be pretty sad but im glad it had a more fun feeling to it.

ushio is just adorable. i really wanna see her and fuuko get together and release the ultimate cuteness

It looks like Tomoya isn't nearly as hopeless and in despair as in the movie. O think Ushio is older now too, since in the movie, she was really, really small.

Since the story is branching off from the movie's story, this ends the spoilers for me. From this point forward, everything is news to me.

I don't want her gone, I like the mini her, but I wanted to see her be a mom damn it.

I guess I am ok they did the fast forward as I was not interested in several episodes of 'coping with loss'.

Damn it watch anime to escape the truths of the real world too eh.
