what I think she's saying is when it comes to the org those who may not be one you can call a 'friend' (I'm sure nobody is gonna be mean to each other... just a friend would stick up for you in a fight... and I'm not sure everybody here is that close to each other...) are typically more up front with you and give you what you want than your friends do lol... typically ~.~

I've also found some good ones in the Opinion Exchange thread, though I haven't gave or received an opinion from there. I've also noticed that some of the threads in the AMV Contests post the winners at cons and stuff, which may or may have not been posted elsewhere. Also, if it wasn't for General AMV, I wouldn't have known about A Total Waste of 6min 35sec, Appetite for Dynamite, and a few other AMVs. There's also a possibility of checking out other people's favorite AMVs, if they have them listed. The Suggestion Query and Random Video is also a pretty awesome function in the link Sephiroth provided, though those aren't the only things in the search page. Ah, but I digress.

Has same advantages and disadvantages as Top 10%. Most people get only notorically famous shet or the stuff their friends made, so the star rating isn't great as well.

I read it, but sometimes it's dead, be it because of server down or just "not season". Also, no guarantee that the vid will actually be good.

Generalization is fun. Not all the videos have high star ratings/opinion scores from friends jerking. There's also anime fanatics who'd rate highly because of a series, music fanatics who rate highly because of the music, and those who rate highly despite the quality of the AMV, plus a combination of the above (friend jerking included). There's also people who actually rate high because the video is actually good. Sometimes you gotta wade through shit to find something good.

because its alot more sewed when it comes to opions because not as many people do them anymore, whereas stars everyone is required to.

People post vids in announcement to let people know about what they did, and while it can get boosted you can at least do some sort of digging based on how the posts in there.

And as stated before alot of videos don't get ops, vids at least get stars as long as they're downloaded which is a more general representation of the overall opinion of the users of the site, the one with very few inputs or the omputs of everyone?

Not that you'll agree with the result but hey your looking for a tool to tell you what to watch, they're all flawed in the end. Even with that stars servs the consensual opinion of the whole.

Really amusing that you decide to have me analyze a statement that i made in about 4 seconds. Those are my reasons, my opinions, in the end might i suggest forming your own instead of relying on us to make them for you.
