I know its a little late to start, but, White Album thread!

I picked up this series just recently since Eclipse was subbing it and I think they tend to have good taste. Its a romance (harem?) anime based on a visual novel, that has an artistic flair to it similar to EF but not to as great an extent. It is not a fanservice anime.

The main character is a college dude named Touya whose high school sweetheart Yuki (voiced by Aya Hirano) is quickly rising to idol stardom. It continually because difficult for them to see each other, and in the meantime, Touya is tempted by other women who want to be close to him, trying to fill the holes in their lives.

Its almost done with the first season and a second is scheduled later in the year.

So, any fans out there?

Yeah... no. White Album is kind of falling apart. It's trying to do everything at once, and accomplishing nothing in the process. It's a train wreck, but I can't look away.

I'm enjoying the show so far actually. It came as a nice break from all the high school oriented romance anime I've seen lately. And there's Mizuki Nana.. :up:

Touya is really pissing me off.

I've been getting a School Days Makoto vibe from him recently (though not nearly to that extreme). He can't expect to have all these women and still want to have Yuki stay with him. It's just absurd. If he truly loved Yuki, he should have told Yayoi to "Fuck off" since her first attempt to seduce him. He thought it himself: The cold lips of a doll. He knows he can't find love there. What an asshole.
