Hmmm, I didn't know this forum existed until somebody let me a note in one of my Quick Comments...
Anyway, I've just started to play around with effects and get my feet wet, and I made this Xenosaga vid to the Portal remix, "The Device Has Been Modified," casting T-elos as GlaDOS and KOS-MOS as Chell. Even if you aren't familiar with the source material, I would appreciate feedback on my editing, since as I said, I'm pretty new. I didn't want to overdo it, but I'm not sure everything was successful.

I actually liked your opening. Your effects suited the quality of the sound.
0.04 - lip flap (lips moving when nothing's being said - most noticeable because you sync the words with her later) Could have taken a snapshot and then zoomed, then froze when the light effect came on. Maybe.
You know, the synced effects just didn't seem necessary at some point in the early parts of the AMV - but it is difficult to know what to do otherwise. I think I liked you adding the texture effect to the whole screen more (like you did later) than making one part of the AMV texturised.
And I think you've used the first version of "device has been modified" that came out - the person did revise it.
Also, there were black bars at the top and bottom of the screen for the shots where you didn't zoom - better to make your project settings match the size of the footage.
I don't know Xenosaga, so I didn't get any in-character references.
Overall, I can see the thought you put into it, and it was a bit of fun. x3
EDIT: Please save your filename as something more descriptive as dbhm, because that's what we see when we search for it after we've downloaded. Something like the anime, the title, and your username. (usually in square brackets)
