@Kev: Are you a file container nazi or something? Seriously if you can´t handle the files than it´s your fucking problem and there is nothing to blame others about it! It´s not like this is some really exotic format. It´s alright for audio you know?

I thought that mep was deadKevmaster wrote:You know, the transitions of the mix aren't even the biggest problem.
YOUR FUCKING FILE IS WMA
I was really hoping if someone would take the road to get an Ill Niño mep finished (as mine/maugens died) it'd at least be someone who knows what he/she is doing.
EDIT: also. why does this have the same subtitle as the RED mep?
As for the file type, as a preview, it's still fine to be WMA. This isnt the first mep I've seen where the mix was offered as WMA. But when this mep does start off, you should provide a WAV or a 320 kbps MP3 for people to edit with. Most people would prefer WAV.

I'd join an ill nino mep with the condition of an experienced coordinator
I was looking forward to the last one before it died and im not about to get my hopes up again with an unexperienced coordinator.
-Edit- I'm gonna be honest here, not really diggin the mix regardless.

just because its an (not to seldom) used format it doesn't mean it's good. I'm not a file container nazi, but I am rather audiophile.Bauzi wrote:@Kev: Are you a file container nazi or something? You wouldn't approve of a wmv either, now would you?

Re: Ill Niño MEP - End of Silence Interest Gauge
Alright guys. I plan on giving out the final in 320kbps .mp3 and .wav.
Just because I'm not an experienced coordinater doesn't mean I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I know and have helped quite a few people who were trying to do MEPs, and I don't really understand why just because I'm new you guys seem to have the right to tell me what I'm doing (right or wrong) or that the MEP is a predetermined failure because I'm new. I'm not angry here, just a little irked.
@Kev -- Why does it matter that the subtitle is the same name as a RED album and/or MEP? This isn't RED. I'll change it if many people actually care about that, but I don't see why it matters all that much.
@Eva -- I'm not really diggin' the mix either. It's just a quick throw-together to see what tracks I might use and to get some interest going before I go ahead and whip out a final.

I would approve a .wmv with WC9 and not with WC3 in it. It´s a huge difference and the same can go for a .wma.Kevmaster wrote:just because its an (not to seldom) used format it doesn't mean it's good. I'd rather have best possible and wouldn't take the lower when a better one is avaiable for the same price.
The issue is infact NOT that you're 'new'. And of course we have the right to tell you what you are doing right or wrong, isn't that actually even something good that points you in the right direction?-Frozen|Denial- wrote:just because I'm new you guys seem to have the right to tell me what I'm doing (right or wrong) or that the MEP is a predetermined failure because I'm new. If there'd suddenly be a second FrozenDenial around, how would you feel about it?-Frozen|Denial- wrote:@Kev -- Why does it matter that the subtitle is the same name as a RED album and/or MEP? It just seems pretty lazy and uninspired copying the name of another project.

Ah. I was under the impression that you were all deciding to not do this because I was a noob or something. I understand that it points me in the right direction, but it seemed that you were just harping me about my supposed noobness.Kevmaster wrote:The issue is infact NOT that you're 'new'. If there was a second FrozenDenial around, I'd ask them if they knew I existed prior to their name choosing. I was unaware of the subtitle for the RED project until I went and looked after you brought this up.

Re: Ill Niño MEP - End of Silence Interest Gauge
Well from the way you've been responding to posts so far it looks like you got the patience for running an MEP at the very least. I haven't seen you on forums at all till now or seen any work from you so I just assumed you were rushing into something you may not be prepared for.
If you get a mix together that your happy with and I'm interested in one of the tracks, I'll consider joining. All though if you want some advice, for band meps its probably better to get some input from people that like the band song wise so you can hopefully make a mix that everyone gets something they want out of, letting them choose their own timeframes though can make the mixing alot more harder though (learned that the hard way) so careful there.
Songs I'm interested in order from most to least:
Te Amo I Hate You - I've had an Idea for this for a while but there isnt enough footage for a complete release I think.
Re-birth
What Comes Around (Day of the Dead Mix) – Don’t confuse this with the original, it was made for the resident evil first movie. It's on the audio CD from the movie.
What You Deserve - I've edited to this already so I'd like not to again but if its all thats left I'd still do it to be a part of the mep.
Other then that I wouldn't join unless I could find a good anime/track combo to work with.
As for other stuff, you should probably mention what AR, Size, framerate, etc your planning on using in this mep so people get a better idea you know what your doing and they don't end up surprised later. I'd check out other MEP threads if you haven’t already as well as other guides.
I don't particularly care what the name of the mep is but I'm all for naming it something that isn't being used already. It's easier to name something after you've seen what it has become anyway.
Oh all so, I have alot of other stuff going on allready so flexable deadlines ftw.
