Hey Tree . It's alright some people are not going to like my video. I think the reasoning is justified and have thought of the idea that if you were to treat the audio source as separate from the movie, it'd be ok, but I can't really ask that of people. Generally, if there is a way to make more people enjoy a video, then it should be done. In the case of Advent Crisis, more people would have enjoyed it if the characters were consistent. Both groups of people, those who have seen The Matrix: Reloaded and those who have not, would've enjoyed it.TheTreeAMV wrote:Good god, people. Seriously, I thought this trailer was great. Good lipsync is damn near impossible with CGI footage. The character's don't totally line up - so what? If you hadn't seen the Matrix, you wouldn't even know that Mr. Anderson and Neo were the same person. I liked that he mixed it up. I liked that he messed with a lot of the conventions of AMV making in the process.
And before anyone bashes me for not being a great editor... are you kidding me? What happened to making AMVs for fun? They're supposed to be entertaining. This one was.
In summary: if you have a problem with this video, I would recommend you jump off your AMV-making high-horse and take your laptop out of your behind.
(This was rant-like. I apologize. I'm just a bit frustrated with the AMV making community right now. And if you are not one of the jerks, this is not directed at you.)
Also, when I post a video here, I expect a critique. I specifically post my videos here because I like that there are people here more skilled than me who are willing to give feedback. Heck some people wouldn't have posted a critique, if they didnt think that the video had any potential.
Also Tree, no one here is going to say your opinion isnt valid because 'you're a good editor or not'. We dont really have that fanboyish element here. Some of the main critics here actually dont edit.
Nice to see you post here. I also noticed that some of the other members of your studio are getting into this site, too. Stick around a bit and get used to it. I'm sure you'll like it.
