MPGA Audio decompressor?
Apparently this file for a school project (taken directly from a video camera's memory card) has the audio codec MPGA. I can't find anything about this stupid codec, and can find no where to download it. I can't drag the files straight into Sony Vegas, and can't save the video WITH sound from VDubMod. VDubMod just says there is no decompressor detected or something like that.
And I need this tonight... The stupid project is due tomorrow.

Re: MPGA Audio decompressor?
Well that's the problem... It's not an audio file, it's the codec for audio in a VIDEO file...

Re: MPGA Audio decompressor?
Odd... I can play it in VLC just fine, that's where I got the info that the codec was mpga

Re: MPGA Audio decompressor?
Yes. VDubMod says there is no proper ACM codec to decode 0x0050 audio stream to PCM...
VDub (64-bit) says it can't locate a decompressor for XviD |:

Re: MPGA Audio decompressor?
0x0050 is the Microsoft MPEG Layer 1/2 audio codec, so if you're on Windows, you should have a decoder.
Have you tried running it through AviSynth with DirectShowSource() or ffmpegsource() instead of AVISource()?
