THOSE. ARE. NOT. DIRECT. LINKS!
Will check it out.
Edit: That was fucking awesome. Some of the transitions between the live action and anime were sketchy, but... Man, that was just beautiful.

Re: The Earth's Guardian
I was gonna say ORIGINAL VIDEO!! Then I saw the song gd it. oh well maybe it'll pull through... but it was a greusom train wreck.
------------
I have one question, where were all the RL animal pictures from, were they from the anime or some national geographic (is that too old?? lol) documentary or something?
Here's my straightforward opinion. Obviously you saw how amvs sometimes mimic the music video and mimic that here. Others may not see that your just copying videos like Jihaku or Skittles so I can't say it's all that original. HOWEVER and especially if the idea is not pulled from the anime itself than you put some obvious work into this idea and if you know those amvs than your a student of the game I highly commend that. copying a good thing isn't bad. After all Koopiskeva copied Jihaku (numerous times) yet he gets praised for it EVERY GD TIME <.< but anyway...
So I like the amv make more like it k? just improve next time xD.

Very nice.
It was a good combination and you did extremely well working the footages together.

i suppose they copied that too?
i think the ultra smooth disney animation and the real life footage gel nicely, but the low budget japanese stuff on 2s and 3s felt out of place, anyway

XD Wow, nice disney animation (almost didn't believe that was possible). I thought the Moribito footage mixed with the dis and RL footage pretty well myself. I like it. I lean more towards the 2nd half of the video though. And how, pray tell, does it copy Jihaku or skittles? I mean, I can see the similarities between it and jihaku, though I wouldn't go so far as to say it copies it. But skittles? I'm just not seeing it.

Re: The Earth's Guardian
Really it just came off as Lion King: The Pretty Scenes. Using Lion King footage with a song from Lion King isn't exactly the height of creativity either. If I wanted to see this song done to Lion King I would have just gone out and watched Lion King. Given that footage/song combo, no matter what you do with it I'm left with the feeling of 'Uh, I already saw this done. And done better since Disney are professional animators able to draw exactly what they want while you aren't.' The difference in styles between the anime, Lion King, and RL footage was kinda jarring at times, although it did help they were at least generally showing the same sort of thing. Most of your attempts to combo anime and RL footage together looked wrong though, especially the feet thing. Overall it wasn't bad, a bit above average if for no other reason than you at least had a concept and didn't entirely fuck it all up.
By the way, where's the footage of a lion disemboweling a creature and eating it? Where's the wasp paralyzing a caterpillar and laying it's eggs into it so that later the larva can eat the still living caterpillar from the inside out? Where's the piranha stripped corpses or creature halfway decomposed because of ebola? Where are the maggots, tapeworm, and other parasites? Why does celebrating nature always seem to ignore anything natural that isn't pretty?
As a side note, I still wouldn't agree with Knowname but at least I could understand the comparison if he had just named a different Koop vid. I can only hope he meant to say Twilight instead of Skittles.
