anything really.
.wmv, .avi, .mp4 and .mpg are the most popular, though you'll have to jump through a few hoops to save as anything other than .wmv

this page might help

ok, i now have a rather interesting situation, i am ripped a series with 12 eposides, the 1st disk has 5 eps, the second has 4 and the last one has 3, when i got the VOB files, there were only 2 per disk, the episodes are not all there. did i do something wrong? or does that happen alot? i have some content, but not all of what i want

I've run into a few dvds where the episodes were split across multiple vobs

If you're using dvd decrypter, try using file mode and then rip all the vobs that are larger than about 100,000 KB

If you happen to get some of the dvd extras in there, you can exclude them from DGIndex when making your .d2v's

Or, IFO Mode will let you pick and choose program streams and chapters, rather than whole VOB files. This way it should be possible to get each episode separately and make sure you are not missing anything.

(It may be helpful to play the episodes in your computer's DVD player software first to find out what titles and chapters the episodes are in. For example, in CyberLink PowerDVD, right-clicking on the screen and selecting "Go To..." will pull up a list of titles and chapters, and the currently playing one will have a checkmark.)
