Hey Vic,

My Mac exports probably the nicest as a .MOV file with H.264 encoding, could I upload that, as well as an .mpg, and have you use the better quality one?

You can send the .mov. I have an old Mac on standby just in case :)

Does winning 2nd Place at Fanime Experimental count as an award? Just curious if that would actually be against the rules.

No, only first place, audience choice, best of show, anything that implies that your entry beat the rest of it's competition.

I'm having some trouble with my audio, are MPEG1 Layer 2 audio and AC3 really the only formats you can play?
hell, while i'm on the subject, what are the chances of my 1280 by 720 video being properly converted into 4:3 since i'm having trouble with that as well? I think if i convert it to a Mpeg 4 avi I can do it, but for some reason my Mpeg 2 conversion gets me letterboxes on the sides that are not in my avs script

i always have to get things done last minute :(

yes, those are the only two formats that can be played. However, I can convert from anything perfectly fine.

720p is fine. I've gotten quite a few 720p entries already.

Bottom line is, give us what looks best for you. I have recompressed some mpeg2s that I received already, so if you screw up the mpeg, I'll still re-do it. It's better to just send me what works and I'll take care of making it presentable :)

No need. I'm not gonna call you out for being a liar, just getting an idea as to how many rows of seats we should block off from the general public.

In other news:
Time to play "Guess how many entries".

Hint: At last count, it was at "oh god make it stop" give or take 10 entries.

Love you all. Keep 'em coming.
