The [adult swim] was intentional, but I think I should change it to remain consistent with the other bumpers. I left the subtitle in because Hughes thinks it can't be helped that he wants to destroy Edward. I fixed the "amx" typo, but WOW...I can't believe I missed all those others. Gotta stop render and fix...thundercatlord wrote: Cool.
Ok here are the things I noticed, just little mistakes really:
@2:40-TYPO-it says [adult swim] instead of [amvs3], or was that intentional?
@4:06-there is a subtitle that says "It can't be helped". Once again I don't know if this was intentionally put there, or if the clip had a subtitle in it.
@11:56-TYPO-it says [amx Salad 3] isn't it supposed to be V not X? Or is there some joke there I'm missing?
@16:30-TYPO-Who's Destroying Anim_ (title is missing the E)
@17:28-TYPO-Wall-E _ound clip (missing the S)
@18:20-TYPO- Knew we forgot. som_thing.. (missing the E)

Re: AMV Salad 3: CLOSED for post-production
Did you end up getting/including the Fruits Basket clip I re-sent? That would make 9 clips from me... yeah, I did get a bit overzealous for my first AMV project...

Re: AMV Salad 3: CLOSED for post-production
*facepalm*
You're right. Corrected statistics noted.
And I must really be tired. I rendered what I thought was a tweaked version of this video to what I thought was going to be around 4GB in size. It turned out a whole grouping of clips (locked together - whew!) was out of place, I forgot to include the Fruits Wearhouse in the credits, and two minor spelling errors on my part were still there. On top of that, after about two hours of rendering, I found a near 11GB video file where the last AVI render was. I forgot to check that I was using Lagarith instead of HuffYUV.
Now that I've corrected this, it's gonna be probably until 2am before this one finishes cooking...

Re: AMV Salad 3: CLOSED for post-production
You know I just realized there is one clip in the original first batch that I sent you, that also didn't get put in, and it's like the best one too
Here's the link again if you need it:
Title: "Touch You Where?!"
Anime: Excel Saga
Audio: "Do You Wanna Touch Me?" by Joan Jett

...209mb? What codec are you using, kid? I just spent four hours rendering the project with Lagarith but I'm not getting smooth playback from WMP or DivX player. I don't know if the video came out that way or if neither of those programs likes my codecs..? *grumbles*
It's apparent WMP doesn't know what Hoffman Lossless is or where to find it. I just tried it and all I got was the audio. And DivX can't find the video track. *converts with DivX codec*
Ahhh...wow! That is a nice clip. I could try and work it into the end, like after the closing credits as a preview of "Triple Excel" (get it?), another AMVS hit network show. Would that be okay? See, I really can't do much moving and rearranging of clips at this point. And given I will likely do one last render before mailing the finished product, I think this is about all I can squeeze in.
Or or or...maybe a bumper to announce AMVS4 is in production? Well, it will be by the time everyone leaves Otakon...

Re: AMV Salad 3: CLOSED for post-production
Stats on previous page updated to reflect the following:
One added clip.
It was thundercatlord who supplied me with material for a promo for AMVS4 to tack on after closing credits. Parting shot, y'know..? I think you'll dig this.
Anyone who sent me comments and critiques should know that I did everything I could to appease you all but, given the short time I had left before mailing this away, I could only do so much. Still, it flows better than the beta and I hope the Kung Fu Panda clip is sufficiently fixed (unfortunately I won't know until it's rendered because it behaves differently played Vegas).
The version Otakon wants is mpeg2 (check), file format (check), and interlaced (fuck it - they get that plus a progressive scan just in case). Lots of rendering tonight.
The version that will be burned to solid DVD is Lagarith AVI, which will be the master from which all future reformatting will originate. I should resume playing Rogue Galaxy while I wait...

Seriously excellent game... beautifully assembled. If you're coming down off a project, that's a great one to go to.
Look forward to seeing the updated version. Does this mean you're going to go ahead and let it be complete or are you still planning a much less stress-driven pass of it over the next few weeks before the con in hopes of a switcheroo?

Re: AMV Salad 3: CLOSED for post-production
I'm liking this game a lot except for those damned Mimics. I love when the developers allow for item creation and synthesis. I'm always anxious to see what my two most recently maxed out items will make. Then there's the factory which I just gained access to. Mwahahahahaaaa!Gaelstrom wrote:Seriously excellent game...

*ahem*
That Freakin' KFP clip is giving me fits! I don't know why the thing won't come out right. I have the cookie cutter on a full-screen image of a movie poster with the clip running behind it so the little bear shows through the hole. Trouble is, in spite of it looking normal when played through the editing program, rendering causes the clip to shrink in screen size which shows the top edge of the frame through the hole. Not cool at all. I think I'll put the cookie cutter on the clip and crop the image so just the Kung Fu Panda text appears before rendering to mpeg2. All I know is I gotta work something out. There's always one problem clip...
