I need help resizing widescreen clips within adobe premiere

Post by AnimeSpiritZ » Sat Jun 20, 2009 4:34 pm

I jux imported all my clips into Adobe Premiere, but they're all widescreen clips. So when I put the clips into the timeline, it zooms in. Is there a way to make all my videos fit into the screen w/o cutting anything off and without having it appear as widescreen at the same time?

What are your project settings and what is your footage resolution/aspect ratio?

you have 3 solutions considering how you have a 4:3 timeline:
1) cropping sides so that it fits perfectly into the 4:3 (what you have right now, to my understanding)
2) letterboxing (having black bars on top and bottom of the widescreen frame, you can do this by right clicking on the clip in the timeline and choosing fit to screen size, IIRC)
3) deleting the project in order to make one with the settings that are the same as your clip's settings (I think this would be the best solution, honestly).
Pick your choice.

As a side note, you PAR of your project and clips should be the same. You'll get some weird resizing that way too.
