European conventions?
Anyone knows about an European convention near Belgium (England, Germany, ...)? I'd love to join you all but the US are a bit too far for me ^_^.

According to Fansview.com:
Feb. 21-23: Anime 2003, Haarlem, Netherlands
Mar. 07-09: J-Junk, Rhein-Maingebiet, Germany
Sep. 19-21: Connichi, Kassel, Germany
Events from last year which apparently haven't set dates for this year or got cancelled:
March: MinamiCon, Southampton, UK
March: Anime Marathon, moves around Germany
June: Animagic, Koblenz, Germany
July: Japan Expo, Paris, France
October: F.A.C.T.S., Gent, Belgium
October: Mega Manga Con, Berlin, Germany
Good luck finding an event!

NP. I tend to follow the German cons because I have a lot of friends who go to them. I dunno about which of them have contests, though. Animagic is corporate (the company everyone hates puts it on, apparently the con sucks too) so I doubt they have one. The others are, AFAIK, fan run, so what they have for programming depends on how many people they can get interested in it. I do know that Anime Marathon tends to be just that - a big marathon, but they do show AMVs. Good luck to you!

Hey, I'm going aswell (seeing as I live in the netherlands). I went last year as well (which happened to be the first year they had an AMV contest), their contest was ass-poor and a really bad video won. Anyway there'll be another contest this year there are 2 entries so far (at least that I know of) so more would be appreciated before they call the whole thing off.Wyverex wrote:Heheh that one in the Netherlands has an AMV contest too. Thanks a lot iserlohn, I may go to this con.
Maybe I'll see you there...

I know that is absolute ARSE! Why is your outro so special that you can't cut it off?Wyverex wrote:Well they don't accept AMV over 3min due to some law restrictions. Mine is 2:42 + 46s of outro but I don't want to cut the outro off... I'm not sure already but I guess I'll have to find another con.
