what the hell do you do to that poor laptop code?

my faptop* weighs 50% more than when i bought it due to chocolate and coffee deposits in the keyboard. what's more, i have a bad habit of leaving it in the garden overnight, and frequently have it sitting on top of my (hot) engine when datalogging. judging by the banged up case, i don't think the previous owner took particularly good care of it either. it hasn't skipped a beat in the 3 years i've had it.

at a conservative estimate you must be getting through four or five every month

It wasn't the laptop this time. I fixed that problem. It was a desktop I've had since two thousand five.
