Is it possible to make a slot machine effect

I want to start off my AMV with a slot machine like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k8OJD8oN1s. But instead of displaying sevens, it displays the faces of the three girls that the amv will revolve around. Does anyone know to make a custom slot machine animation

if you found footage of a slot machine that you liked, you could mask out the display and replace it with your material

Or do it the hard way which would probably produce a higher quality version but I haven't a clue how.
