So, if the track is 1 and a half mins long, we'll probably need 45 editors. Right?

Question: is it possible to use the same clip of the person before so that the shot continues? Example: there is a minute long sequence, the person before uses 2 seconds of it, the person after continues with the consequent 2 seconds... would that be possible? If so, can it go on as long as there would be the footage?

Remember that every editor can add footage UP TO 48 frames. The editors choose where to cut their chosen shot themselves, so they can synch up with the song. Also remember that editors can rejoin, so we don't need as many editors as there are cuts.Animated24 wrote:So, if the track is 1 and a half mins long, we'll probably need 45 editors. Right?
So best case (if everybody chooses to add 2 seconds) is a duration of 45 days and worst case (if everbody chooses to add 1 only frame) is 2160 days (almost 6 years). Hoping that the average cut is around 10 frames we'll be done within one year (216 days), which is faster than most MEPs finish. It would be nice to have over 200 editors joining this MEP making it the biggest collaboration in AMV-history (I think), but my guess is that we never come that far. :\
I guess I could allow this (I might change my mind later though), but with this project, I want every editor to have their own input in this project and that's why I choose that nobody sees what has been done (or even the song) until it's their turn in the project. A "silent collaboration" among all the editors is what I'm striving for, but I can easily see people just doing their thing without caring what the others did at all or secretly teaming up to do that sort of thing you just described. It can't be helped I guess, but how this all goes is what makes this project interesting I think.mirkosp wrote:Question: is it possible to use the same clip of the person before so that the shot continues? Yes, yes, yes! Not all the thinking went into just creating that flowchart!
