Re: 2009 Logo Contest - FINAL VOTING (ends August 23)
No offense, but this year's logos weren't all that thrilling. O_o
Last year we had quite a lot to choose from and the styles were just beautiful. This year it's either real detailed or real colorful and friendly. No inbetween. =O

I'll try to take a look at it when I get home (which should be today).DriftRoot wrote:I think this is the first year I've ever been mostly unsurprised by the logos in the finals...it's nice to see a broad range of designs to choose from.
Anyone with image editing software - and that should be most people, given what we do around here - might experiment a little by applying the final logos to screenshots of the site. That's how I make my final pick.
Though I don't have the source files for the most of them, so it might look a little itchy here and there ^^
I don't really know, but... that's bad? D:Code wrote:No offense, but this year's logos weren't all that thrilling. O_o

Or you would prefer something less detailed and less colourfull?

Re: 2009 Logo Contest - Voting, round 1 (ends August 16)
I thought about doing that again this year, but... the site might actually go through a redesign sometime in the near future (though it is uncertain when exactly). So while we would want to avoid a logo that is totally incongruous with the current site, I think this time it is more acceptable to judge the logos in and of themselves.Nya-chan Production wrote:I'll try to take a look at it when I get home (which should be today).DriftRoot wrote:I think this is the first year I've ever been mostly unsurprised by the logos in the finals...it's nice to see a broad range of designs to choose from.
