Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition AMV MEP
GENTLEMEN
1. Pick a character in a fantasy anime, and stat the character to level 6 in 4e.
2. Capture video source of them using powers and sync with custom audio if desired.
3. Capture video source of them getting hit by attacks (normal weapon hits, general hits or any of these):
Acid: Corrosive liquid.
Cold: Ice crystals, arctic air, or frigid liquid.
Fire: Explosive bursts, fiery rays, or simple ignition.
Force: Invisible energy formed into incredibly hard yet nonsolid shapes.
Lightning: Electrical energy.
Necrotic: Purple-black energy that deadens flesh and wounds the soul.
Poison: Toxins that reduce a creature’s hit points.
Psychic: Effects that target the mind.
Radiant: Searing white light or shimmering colors.
Thunder: Shock waves and deafening sounds.
4. Capture source of them dodging, blocking, resisting and/or being immune to an attack.
5. ???
6. Characters and attacks compiled into a battle royale via A-M-V.org Forum posts.
This post is an interest gauge. How does this format sound? What level should we cap characters at? I was thinking 6 but would consider up to level 11 characters (a lot more work picking/capping source for their powers).

Good things are apparently always achieved by taking shortcuts and putting forth no effort.

Good=\=Cool. This ain't humanitarian aid, it's a D&D\anime fusion (Which I find incredibly annoying in real life sessions, but that's neither here nor there.) video.NerdStrudel wrote:Good things are apparently always achieved by taking shortcuts and putting forth no effort.

So In other words your input into this thread was completely Not needed, correct? Since not only do you not like D&D in real life, but you don't like the idea.

Re: Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition AMV MEP
I'm thinking it would work like this:
Character starting locations are picked in a random, shotgun pattern in a big arena.
Everyone rolls initiative.
Editor A attacks Editor B, posting what they do and what his/her character says during the attack.
Attack is rolled and results in hit or miss.
Editor B says how their character reacts and makes footage based on the result.
Editor B sends their footage to Editor A who then compiles the scene together.
If Editor A hits two or more characters, then they all send footage to Editor A.
While this is going on the next character in the initiative order does their turn, etc.
All the move and attack results can be decided on via forum posts, letting the editing be done whenever.
When a full round of combat has been edited, it could be combined into a video to get an idea of how long this MEP will be.

I think being the D&D noob that I am, I would need a walk-through.
But this sounds awesome.

Roll the dice to see if I'm getting drunk!
