I was thinking, for those who don't know, the song is around 1 minute and 14 seconds and we're around 30% now. At this rate we're done after the 45th editor has gotten his turn (which is around the time all the rejoins come in). Now I can do two things:

a. Extend the song, which has to be done within a few segments before it's too late.
b. Not extend the song, but choose a new short song when the current one is done.

So, what do you guys think? Of course, it's kinda hard if you only know what's been done until your part - or some people might not even know what's been done right now - but hopefully you can see what the advantages and disadvantages are of each choice.

I'd be all over b. A new fun song to work over from the beginning!
I like this song, but if we change song, possibly a song with a different mood, the output would be much more different than just going on with the same one, so I bet editing would be more fun since it'd be somehow new all over again.

I agree with mirko; mixing in a second song with a different feel would be pretty neat. Keep things from stagnating too much and all that jazz.

Hmm, the new song idea is better than extending the current one, but I'm not sure how well it would work. Perhaps even releasing a second version would be more suitable. That, or treating the second song like a credits sequence.
