3vix demo/trial expired, Help!
On my sony vegas ( probably on other media players too ) A stamp in bright reddish-pinkish font shows up, and it's in all my .avi files
I deleted the 3vix folder in my computer and everything in it and then avi files wouldn't load in sony vegas <_<
So then I reinstalled it and now it's back
I need help and google doesn't work for me and youtube doesn't have the answers either.
I would appreciate it if someone would be able to make a video or post a response with a solution to my dreaded problem.
~ Many thanks, Ako.

don't edit with fansubs
if they aren't fansubs, don't rip to divx/xvid/3ivx
buy the dvds, etc...
...
now that that is out of the way...
you're going to re-encode your footage using virtualDub, or virtualDubMod (but development on vdubmod stopped some time ago,) using a lossless codec such as lagarith.
Be aware that lossless = big files
For that reason, you don't want to re-encode entire episodes. The recommended way is to make your clips using vdub
Doing so should get rid of that message. If it doesn't, you're screwed
Just trust me when I say that you do not want to be editing with 3ivx or anything like it in any editing program...read the following if you want the technical details:

if you still see the "trial ended" message in vdub, then you'll want to uninstall the 3ivx codec, and install CCCP.JaddziaDax wrote:open the video file in virtualdub/mod go to video->compression->Huffyuv or Lagarith
then go to file->save
use those to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want so you can save room

Can't you enable 3IVX support in ffdshow by opening the VFW configuration and setting "Other MPEG4" to "libavcodec"?

Thank you for the help and I appreciate it so much!
But, I don't have the Huffyuv or Lagarith
Where do I get them?

bad question lol, I have 48 gb left so that'll be enough I hope. But I have to make a new .avi file for every cut scene in the original video?AkoProductions wrote:Kariudo wrote:don't edit with fansubs

If you make clips with vdub then 48GB will be more than enough. My current project at 960x480 has ~7GB of lossless clips (my song is about 2 min long but I have enough material to make a 6 minute amv)
As for making a new avi for each scene in your vid...yep, pretty much.
