Fruits Basket: Anime or Manga?
Yeah, so we all know Fruits Basket is an awesome series. But which is better, the anime or the manga? Although the manga has more detail, and carries on for much longer than the anime (The anime only goes up to volume 6 or 7 in the manga), I prefer the anime since it's funnier and the characters look cuter (Especially Kyou <333). What do you think?

Oh, no question: the manga ^_^ why? do i need a reason? lol, well every character has such a solid background, and the manga has an amazing ending while the anime left me wanting more. Both are amazing, but I definitely prefer the manga

Re: Fruits Basket: Anime or Manga?
the anime = terrible, imo.
It cuts out more than half of the manga; the characters are much more boring in the anime; both english and japanese dubs suck. The whole anime was just plain booooring.
The manga's drawings got much better about halfway through, therefore it became a lot more enjoyable. There is more humor, more drama, and the characters are much more interesting in the manga.

This shouldn't even be a question. The manga is loads times better than the anime in just about every way... nothing that the anime has that the manga doesn't except an opening and ending song, which I liked.

Dameon Clarke is in one episode of the anime.

Keep in mind that I only like the Japanese anime. The voices in the English dub are annoying.

Re: Fruits Basket: Anime or Manga?
I prefer the anime. It's cute, colourful, and if you're hesitant on reading over 20 volumes of manga, it's a good place to start. I love both, personally, I just found it frustrating that in the manga, *every* character (even the unimportant ones) had to have their own backstory, saturated in what I'd say was 99% angst.
Don't get me wrong, I like angst, but I thought there was just too much going on. Plus, after a while all the characters started to look the same. Perhaps I'm biased, since I waited for each book to be released (which was like, 2 months or so apart?) which made it difficult to remember plot details.

Re: Fruits Basket: Anime or Manga?
Has anyone else noticed how much the artwork style changes during the manga? Some characters looked totally different by the end!
