It turns out that the problem was not my harddrive at all. Final cut has decided it's fighting with my harddrive and has taken all the media offline. Still looking for a fix.... Update: I restarted FCE and the files are now back online (YAY) but the timeline has been... altered(boo). The footage in the timeline is now exactly 1 second and seventeen frames behind the music. I am now convinced Final Cut just hates me.
