Alrite.
So i'm planning on making an amv using super smash bros brawl, just cuz i have no access at all to clips from other animes and the like. I do own the game, but i downloaded clips from online in horrible quality. Would anyone know where or how i can get top quality clips of ssbb cutscenes?
Thank you mucho!

Well, if you're asking for download links, that's generally not an accepted practice around here [and is against forum rules when asking for anime].
I have this saved a while back when LantisEscudo so kindly pointed out.
You could also invest in a USB Capture Device to rip the footage straight from gameplay. Something like this perhaps.
I hope that helps!

A little expensive perhaps, but if you want high quality, that's probably yer best bet.Its possible to rip Wii and Gamecube disks, but you need one of about 4 specific Hitachi-made DVD drives. They're DVD-ROM only drives, though, and all are now discontinued, so it's difficult to get your hands on one.
If you can get one, a program called RawDump 2.1 can rip the ISO file for you; I'm not sure how to pull files out of the ISOs on Windows, though, I've been using a Unix-based application on my Mac to do it.
Wii and GC games' video is usually in an unusual form of MJPEG, called THP (there are also some videos in a minor variant called MTH). ffmpeg is able to handle THPs, last I checked, MTHes fail, though.
A few games use a format known as H4A, which there isn't a decoder for yet, and I think there's one or two other formats I'm forgetting.

Well... it's a bit special, but legal if you own a copy of the game.
Do you own a high end pc? I mean: At least dual core.
There is a GameCube/Wii-Emulator for PC and Mac around. It let's you play these games on your PC, but you need high end hardware. You could capture the games with a program like Fraps than. This only works with the PAL version of the game! NTSC version is not playable yet with this program.
Anyway I doubt that you really want to try this method out

I downloaded an ISO of the game, then used a tool called Trucha Signer to extract the files from the disc. Then ffmpeg to convert them to something usable.Vivaldi wrote:How did Zarx get his clips for ?
Don't ask me where to get any of this or how to use it. It was complicated and I honestly don't remember.
