Hollywood Death Note script leaked, holy crap....

actually with that noted. This script should be dumped into the trash. When sending your scripts into any studio you should never put what draft it is on there. Either its a pure studio production which would explain the "Hollywood" ending and touches to it, or this is a canned script some one found and placed online. I still haven't fully read it i am about 10-12 pages in it.

To be honest even if this script is fake i don't see the real script being a huge deviation from this

The leaked script is very conservative

a screenwriter once told me hollywood doesn't write movies for LA, NY, Chicago

they make movies for the biggest movie markets, which are conservative cities

St Louis, MO and Nashville, Tn

having ryuk and death note at once would be just to much for those people, this way they can focus more on the death note

maybe? for sequels ray pen. is still alive, so to avoid jail time luke kills ray when he finds a torn page, and ryuk comes because he likes lukes style and digs up the death not for him, so he can kill ray's girl ,

and L brings Luke on board because someone is claiming to be The 2nd Kira, Lukes motivation in the 2nd movie could be to avoid jail time and death

and the 3rd can be about building a perfect world,

Do we really need to see another deathnote, but shortened and live action? I think i'd actually refer they change it up, so long as its done well. We'll just have to wait and see. We have the anime and the manga already, we don't need the same story retelled yet again. I think its probably a wise choice too to get rid of the shinigamis, they would probably look to lame...>.> I doupt this will get a big enough budget to produce transformers level of CG, and it'll take out some elements that will shorten the plot for movie length.

Its probably best to treat this and the anime as too completely seperate entities with a similar name.

The Americans are seeking a revenge on DN probably, because in the original story, the U.S. President bent towards Light......or was forced to follow......or whatever is making America looking stupid........

lol the movie is based on the manga not the tv series (which is only PART of the manga). Once hearing that I wasn't AS appalled. but still, why make anime live action?? that in itself is just plain dumb I think lol.
