I've been looking to buy a pair of new & better headphones recently, but I can't quite seem to decide what to get /typical ^^''
After some research I set my eyes on the Denon AH-D1001 Closed Back Stereo Headphones, which seem to have good reviews & are reasonably priced /can't afford to splurge too much/. The only thing I'm not ecstatic about is their design... In that department the Koss Pro/4AAT Titanium Studio Retro Headphones got my attention - though they're kinda heavy & I don't know if they're just as good as the Denons.. but they have good isolation & I love the single-entry eight-foot coiled cord..
Honestly I'd love a pair of wireless headphones - since I listen to music while I study the cord kinda gets in my way, but the last I've heard wireless HPs don't even come close to wired ones - sound-quality wise /if you know differently, pls let me know..
Advice, anybody!? ^^''
Much appreciated!

I'm not huge into high-quality headphones, but I got a Sennheiser HD280 set from a friend a few months ago. (see URL) They run $60-$100 but both the sound quality and the craftsmanship seem to be worth it. Also very comfortable. I've heard a lot of good things about Sennheiser over other brands when I did my research, so I decided to go ahead and get them.

Another thing is about your wireless bit- I heard that a lot of even high end sets receive interference from any nearby emitter- TV, Radio, Wireless routers, etc. If you don't have to get up that much I'd suggest keeping it safe with the cords. They're pretty much long enough on any professional set, anyway. You can usually also count on them having gold connectors and god-knows how much RF shielding.
Good luck with the search

There's a thin line between not listening, and not caring. I like to think I walk that line every day of my life.
