Thanks again for all your input. As stated, there were a lot of things that I could have done better with this vid. I had trouble at a lot of points that I just couldn't figure a way around and using different footage was completely out of the question for me. Even still, I am glad you are at least giving me some honest crit and NOT beating around the bush.

I believe the harsher the better. I don't like sugar coats as those don't help me improve at all. This was more about pushing the envelope and trying things I haven't tried before. Whether or not it phailed is not really the issue with me. It's more a matter of me actually taking on something like this and trying to finish it. Editor's Pride if you will. But, meh. THanks for the crit guys.

Who said that's the reason we thought it was original? I thought it was original cause he was trying to mix a 3-d gaming source (first person) with the anime into an AMV. I think he was depending on the "falling" part of the lyrics with the first person footage way too much but that's why I thought it was original regardless of the incoherency you speak of.

Maybe your right but don't think your reasoning is the only one.

If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I liked the idea, but the execution of it was just.. err not that great.
The flashing clips on buildings was just annoying. I would rather preferred actual clips, and not just random clips flashing all over things.
Overall, it just didn't seem much of a amv, since it lacks anime, imo. 2/5

This was an interesting concept, and I have to give you credit for trying something this experimental. However, personally, I thought flashing the anime scenes on buildings and other objects felt unnecessary. Also, because this wasn't really a "music video" I didn't think you needed to do so much beat sync. In the end, I thought this video was just okay, but I would give you high marks for originality and effort.

Thank you. I'll definitly have learned from the flashing anime bits by the time I get around to editing something like this again. I appreciate everyone's input. It seems I know somewhat of what i might need to do and not do in the next one. Thanks again, guys. You all have been a big help.

I like the song, but I don't understand how it corresponds to the video at all.I get how she's falling "down" but the rest just left me confused since I feel like the song's more of a romance than action type.

The flashing anime on the buildings was a big :nono: for me.It was bad, annoying and just didn't belong.I didn't mind so much about the anime on the TVs at 0:36-0:40,that was quite good IMO.And I didn't like how you had the Black Cat character standing still at 0:46,that was weird and the tv simulator you used just didn't work at times.

Although that being said I do like how you transition from Mirror's Edge footage to anime footage at these times:-0:20,0:33 and 0:57  1:53 - end was okay too.

Overall I'll give you a 3/5 since I feel like this could be a pretty decent video if you put more effort in it.

I was waiting to see what you'd be coming out with for this project - I certainly wasn't expecting this. Kudos for keeping me interested, this compliment comes from someone who finds a lot of action videos boring b/c they're so predictable. More kudos for taking a stab at doing something original, it's not often I watch a video and still have its after effects (no pun intended!!) hanging around hours later. I appreciate it when people take risks with AMVs. It's easy to get complacent and just stick to doing what you know you can do well or stick to exploiting whatever trend is currently in style.

That said, I agree with the general sentiment that this video showcases a concept that didn't come off quite right. I barely paid any attention to the music because I was so distracted by the unique first-person view and drive-by anime sightings. I really found myself waiting and waiting for the next blip of anime, which usually seemed randomly thrown in. The only time I "felt" the song/emotions behind this AMV was when you shifted focus to the anime, which left me with the strong impression that it would have been a better AMV without the game footage. This, of course, is probably moot since that's not the point of this video at all...which makes me wonder whether any beta testers said anything about this issue early on, or if you listened to their concerns. If someone shows me a rough video that makes me question whether it should even be made, that's the first thing I tell them (diplomatically and in a long-winded manner, of course). This video just doesn't seem like a total package...there's a lot there, but it doesn't add up.

In any case, 3/5?

Thank your for the lengthy opinion. Yes, their concerns of the flashy anime on the building was brought up about halfway through the project. I heard their concerns and looked for ways that I could alleviate this problem, however, I couldn't for the life of me figure out a way to replace those parts. Masking is always a bitch, and I tried my best to do my best with those parts. Still, Thank you for saying such things about the AMV itself without being rude about it. I know some people can be rude, which really doesn't bother me so much...I just don't like it when people post 1-2 word comments about it....(like my Heaven's Faith Quick Comment section......."Fucking Horrible"?.....I mean, come one now...that's not critical to improving at all)

Still, thanks again for your opinion. I will be able to alleviate some concerns with the editing next time I decide to make a video like this.
